1974/74 Colnago Super Info.
Hi all,
I am trying to get an estimated value for my bike. It is a 1974/75 Colnago Super originally purchased by my father in Germany from the Sigi Renz Bike shop in Munich. I had previously posted a thread (found-older-colnago-cellar) here a few years ago when the bike first came into my possession, which also tell a bit about the bike's history.
I successfully transported the bike back here to the US without any issue. Since then, the bike has pretty much been stored inside my apartment. The only difference is that the remainder of the decals, which were constantly flaking off, had been taken off with the idea of putting on a replacement set. As with many things, that has been put aside and the bike continues to rest.
Having a bit of trouble uploading photos directly, but I have a link to available photos here: COLNAGO SUPER. I am in the middle of moving so I will not have immediate access to the bike through the next week.
Ultimately, I am thinking about finding the bike a new home and would like to have some idea about value before I begin any type of process. Any help would be great.
Thanks in advance!!!
Joshua

+paint very nice
-fork crown shot
-decals shot
-size is big
-components not Italian
$800-1000 max.
If it fit me, I'd sell of the Japanese stuff and put on a Nuovo Record group, and ride it alot.
Polish the fork crown and seal it with wax or whatever.

Stem is broke and dangerous, but otherwise a real classic. Although the dura ace lowers sell value it's good performing stuff, fine as a rider.

Beautiful Colnago. Do not ride it until you have replaced the stem! If you are set on selling it, I would remove all of the non-Italian components and sell them separate from the frame. If that is original paint, I could see the frame selling for $600 +/- on ebay.
