25 year oil bike will need bearings lubed. Add this in to your calculation if you're not doing the work yourself.

Note that @miamijim has nearly 12,000 posts, been a member since 2003, and even maintains a Peugeot website. I think he knows what a C&V bike needs!

Still learning
Not neccessarily, as MJ has moved on to more exclusive steel. Also, Centurion bikes are not common in many markets. Here in Michigan, Italian steel such as Bianchi is rare. So are Miyatas.

Is this the master or the expert? The master's pop up quite regularly in the SF area for 250-350 depending on condition. If it's 50cm then I'd expect another small price drop for less demand. The experts top off around 300 (for mint, no work needed).

I'm looking to buy not sell so there's no 'hmm' about it..
In general yes, I know what a Tange #1 steel framed bike with tri-color is worth. Centurion Ironman's seem to have a niche following so I wanted opinions. Seller's asking $400...I can probably get it for $300, it needs $50-75 in parts (tires tubes tape) and a few hours labor so I'd be in it for $350-375. No ROI but it would be to 'bring it back'.

As a short person-I say sweet little bike. As a keeper I guess 300 would be reasonable. Then you do the work and it brings it to worth. No profit as a flip IMO

Centurion road bike
this is a 50/52cm Centurion Expert Ironman Dave Scott that's for sale in my market.
Shimano 105 brakes and derailleurs. 700C rims
$325 asking and its by a guy that historically overprices bikes and essentially just powerwashes them to get em shiny.
Yours being better components and almost totally new, I wouldn't think twice about buying it to ride for $300.

Over here it'd probably be ~500-/+ especially in that size.

I paid $300 for an 89 Master back in May in SoCal. Nice condition but far from mint, wheels were not original and kind of rough shape compared to the rest. Tri color group was in really nice shape for the age. Ended up selling the group and installing modern 105 brifter group and have been extremely happy with the ride.
The Master and Experts pop up a lot on my local CL in nice condition. I wouldn't pay $400 even if it were "mint" just because I know I could get a near mint for $300 since they appear plentiful. But obviously your market is diffferent

Wow, $600? That's incredibly expensive, even considering the good condition it's in.
Someone may jump on it, but way more often than not bikes like this at that price are relisted for obvious reason.
I guess at least shipping is free...

Someone looking for THAT bike in THAT condition will pay THAT price, no question.
eBay is a global marketplace and exposes you to a much broader audience. CL and various forums have a much narrower viewing.
