Cinelli Supercorsa with Campagnolo C Record

The title should read "Supercorsa"

I might be looking to move this bike but don't really know where to price it.

1989 cinelli Supercorsa with a full campy c record group (sheriff star hubs, engraved seat post and crankset, etc.). It's a rider's bike with some wear on it. How much would you ask for it if you were to sell it? Thanks. Sorry for the crummy cellphone pictures.

I'm not sue about the whole bike, but think the brakes are worth a fair bit themselves as they look like deltas.

If that is C-Record high flange hubs and the brakes are Record Delta's, then those parts alone are worth a lot.
What would I ask for it? Tha depends on the condition of the frame and parts. In very good condition, with signs of very little wear, I'd ask $2000.00

BUT, I would level that seat before taking pictures for an ad.

The real star in terms of value are the sheriff stars. In an auction...I think 2000 is about right...it might be low end.

Louis, Only the public will know the worth, when up for auction. Strongly suggest to put a reserve of $3000 if starting at $1.00... If going international, adjust for two boxes when shipping overseas with insurance and signature, USPS priority express! Or, sell the wheels separately, they could fetch upwards to $1000, nice looking! If you have a low Ebay rating or no auction activity, there could be up to 30/60 day wait for your money. Going CL attracts flippers, bargain hunters, and frauds (counterfeit money off a laser printer). If you need help let me know? Bonn Chance, Mike

$2K is about right but you might catch a few Cinelli super fans to bid against each other and get at least 200 bucks more, although parted out, I bet it could fetch close to $3K on a very good day....

Thanks guys, I was thinking something between $2000 and $2500. I would hate to part it out but if it made sense financially...

Mike, I might contact you to get some advice on selling internationally, thanks for the offer.

Determining Vintage Bicycle Value is a bit tricky but, were I the OP, I would set the Ebay reserve reserve it at $3000.00 and be patient. Ebay is the best place for this high end and pricey commodity, in my opinion.

Ensure that you take really good pictures and offer complete detailed description. Then wait, answer, wait and, with luck, sell. This might take some time but patience, as often as not, is well rewarded.

You can learn a bit about trading, selling and buying of vintage bicycles at my website. I have sold lots of bikes and sent to to most corners of the planet and, chances are good that you will have to know how to pack and ship the bike.

There is lots to learn about getting top buck for your top of the line bicycle. Good luck the sale, but, for heaven's sake, make darn sure you want to sell it.

Cleaned and polished up, it should bring upward of 2500. It will take time, but I really think this bike would fetch that.

After a VERY good detailing, have someone who really knows how to take pics, take them for you. Your great pics are normally just snap shots to a pro.

It's a very nice bike with some very nice stuff hung on it. Take the time and it will bring the money.

I'd think that by 1991 there would be more gears and a wider rear spacing, what is the serial number?

My bad, I hadn't looked at the serial number in a while. The bike is actually from 1989, serial 89XXX.
