81' Lotus Eclair
Ran across this and the asking price is $300.
Not sure on the size as owner has yet to get back to me.
I'm looking for a road bike as a winter project to have ready next spring.
What are your thoughts on this bike and the price.
Thank you.

Still learning
Looks like a 56cm, for a rider of 5'8"-5'10". Very clean, priced about right IMHO.

As others said...make sure it fits.
On price...in the Atlanta area, I have been able to get bikes similar to this, in very good shape, for less than $200...but...that could be a difference in markets...

Thanks all. Greatly appreciate your impute for a rookie road bike searcher like me.
The guy finally got back to me and said he'd send more photos and that he bought it from a thrift shop.
Also said he's willing to come down a bit on price and would send more photos, check that seat post and stem are not stuck and measure stand over height.
One thing I notice was the bike has extension levers that I didn't see in the catalog.

In my opinion, this bike is way overpriced. Perhaps $200 to $225. In my area (CT) you can get STI equipped road bikes for $300 used.
