Ted Wojcik road frame in PINK!
This is a Ted Wojcik with serial number 00032. I spoke with Ted by email; he thinks he made it in the early 80s.
I love it but its a 54cm and it just always felt too small. Some of the paint is missing from the underside of the BB and the rear dropouts, otherwise good condition. The tubes are Columbus SLX. These are thinly traded. Not much out there as a value guide. If you don't know Ted Wojcik, the frame probably won't mean much to you. But I know there are die hard fans of his vintage mountain bikes.
Any ideas on value?
Thank you.

If it is SLX, per the decal, it's no earlier than 1984. That was the first model year of commercial availability for the tubeset. Dual bottle bosses and pump pegs were still rare in 1984, so it may even be a year or two newer. I'm assuming the Portacatena dropout was leftover stock.

incazzare.
Man, I like that. How long is the top tube? What size tires can it fit?

Smaller name stuff like this can be very variable and it often depends on how patient the seller is...the pink paint makes that even more true in this case. I'd probably place fair value on eBay at 400-500, but it might take a bit to sell. Alternatively the right buyer might go double that.

Man, if this were bigger. I have been looking for a 60cm Wojcik for years, as well as a XL 29er mtb. Ted builds a nice Mountain bike for sure.

I would think 350 is a fast sale price on ebay...or on a place like paceline (which is where I'd probably sell). On CL...it may not be a fast sale price.

Still learning
I have immaculate Serotta and Nobilette bikes built with Columbus SL/SLX that were purchased 2-4 years ago that would put there frame/fork values in the $450+ arena.
Given paint condition and slightly lesser provenance than the aforementioned builders, I'd suggest a FMV of about $325 + bikeflights. The C&V sales forum is as good a place as any. Like many C&V members, I like pink, but it is a limited market. At 54cm, it would fit a lot of women as well.
Good luck.
