Gazelle. Champion Mondial? Reyonlds 531.
Any Gazelle gurus out there that can lead some insight into this frame?
I'm interested in buying it, but want to make sure i'm getting a good deal. The add left little information.
I've emailed the poster with questions but am yet to hear back. At this point all I know is that its Renynolds 531.
Is it a Champion Mondial? Whats the difference between A, AA, AB Frames etc?
Thanks,
- j

It does look like an early 80s Champion Mondial.

lots of information on Gazelles in the Classic & Vintage forum, including details on the differences between the a ab and aa frames.
just do a search on Gazelle.
Lots of Dutch Afficionados will chime in, including the author of the Gazelle Pages in the link above.

The differences between A, AB, AA is all in the details. I think I see a butterfly brake bridge and an X-type chain stay bridge which would be a characteristic of an AA frame. If it is a round style chain stay bridge, it is likely an AB with the fork crown I see on the bike. Try this link. The serial would help date the frame, but it looks to me to be late 70s. The dating would also narrow the frame type as characteristics could change year to year,
And to answer your question, it appears to say Champion Mondial on the TT.
