I stumbled onto a crank with drilled chainrings (courtesy of a BF member) and now I'm obsessed with them.

I JUST spent the asking price for this crankset for a set of drilled 144 BCD rings.

You've got a great looking crankset- whoever gets this is getting a fine piece.

I don't really need this. Would it be anachronistic on a red/white fade '88 Ironman TT build? I can't find any photos of late 80's bikes with drilled cranks. It must have faded away as the garish colors and graphics popped onto bikes.
