WTB: "Raleigh Maes Alloy" Handlebars >42cm

I'm so close to finishing my WIP, turning a 1979 Raleigh-made frameset into either a single-speed or multi-geared bicycle (but that's another story). In the meantime, I love the look of the original, stock handlebars -- the flare, reach, and length of the drops -- (their catalog lists them, simply, as "Raleigh Maes Alloy"), but at 38cm center-to-center, they're noticeably narrow... uncomfortably so. They're also unmarked and unnamed... as generic as their "Raleigh Maes Alloy" catalog description. So, I'm looking for the same model (I'm thinking there's a more specific name than "Raleigh Maes Alloy"), but wider -- 42cm, at a minimum, but I'd prefer significantly more... say, 48cm). However, a similar handlebar from a different manufacturer would also be of interest.

Interesting, I was not aware of handlebars with so much flare that weren't track or randonneur style. Peering into the ends of the bars, I'm tempted to wonder what kind of "alloy" they are -- have you held a magnet to them?

I don't have any wide drop bars to offer, sorry.

Nice catch -- I'd say they're "Crom-Oly"... but what's in a name? They do have flair, don't they.

That they do!

If you have any interest, I do have some Gerry Burgess randonneur bars that measure 42.5cm center-to-center at the ends with a similar look and flare: https://velobase.com/ViewComponent.as...=112&AbsPos=73
