Shimano 105 (almost) group

I'm considering selling off my 105 group. It's the silvery pearl group, brakes, aero levers, 7spd d/t shifters, f/d, r/d, 105 hubs laced to grey Wolber rims, headset and pedals. I will get some pictures tomorrow. I'm looking to get $225 with wheels. I also have matching 105 brifters that I would throw in for an extra $75. At this point, I don't want to split the group up but that may become an option later....

If my price is off, let me know

Thanks

The brifters work well, recent wd-40 flush and lubed with a lightweight oil.

I know you are not ready to split the group up but if, what would you let the wheels go for ? I have that same group on my Gazelle and it's quite exceptional.

This will make someone a nice group.

Let me think on the wheels. If I don't have any interest in everything by Wednesday, i'll let you know regarding the wheels.

Can't believe I am writing this since I have my own post up trying to clear out excess, but if you do split it, I'd be interested in the brifters. Are they 2x7? 2x8? 3x8?

Still sitting on this stuff. I'd rather sell it instead of using it but it's getting tempting

 are those hubs and shifters going to play nice together? The fh-1055 rear shipped with 7 speed UG/HG free hub and 126mm locknut spacing... Does an 8/9/10 cassette fit on that hub?

... Or did you/someone swap free hub bodies?

I was running those wheels w/ a 10spd IRD mtb rear cassette with no issue. The 105 group came to me on a mid 90s Kestral that was completely stock.

Holly crap on a *******! I have a '91 Trek 1400 with that 105 group... I could take the 105 stuff off for $225. Or throw-in the entire bike (and it rides very nice) if you pay shipping. Just say'in.

I have run 8 speed 105 STI levers with a 7 speed Shimano cassette. All you need to do is use an alternate cable routing as shown in Sheldon Browns site. Shifts fine.

I thought (okay, I think) the spacing is the same. The only difference is that the 8 speed shifters have one more click and can move the cable 14.3% farther.

At any rate, it's very reliable stuff. This is what my most modern bike runs.

Maybe it was 9 speed Tiagra with the 8 speed cassette then? So many bikes have passed through my door that I can`t keep them all straight. I know I ran a 7 speed wheel with an 8 speed STI on one of my bikes though.

No. But in my experience, in my area, it might be a bit high. If I get any PM hits on my offering... I'll let you know. To be honest.... I am not sure I am allowed to sell here on BF. I don't want to break any rules.

Honestly, I thought with the wheels it wasn't too far off. I've paid $150 for a decent set of wheels, add in derailleurs etc, I thought I was on point. Oh well.

Where are you located? Timing in my area stinks to try to sell a bike

To be fair, your asked for opinions on your prices. @Dave Cutter, it is a generally accepted rule to not diss anyone's pricing. You two figure it out.

It's not typical to get high(er) prices on this thread unless it's real bling, as far I can tell.

No hard feelings here. I'm a little miffed that @TimmyT only offered a case of Massengil, I would accept Summer's Eve though

I've pieced together at least 5 groupsets using eBay and this forum. I think your price is fine. If anything, the wheels might be a deterrent for someone needing just a groupset and not wanting to pay the extra shipping.
