Zunow Hummingbird Pentaglia 59cm
Selling this rare bird to pay off some bills and downsize a little. For sale in fleabay as well, however discounting to Members here. $1,700 plus actual shipping.
Rare Zunow Pentaglia Hummingbird Japanese racing bike with full Dura ace groupset.
It is not perfect, but it is pretty damn nice! After a couple of decades of handling & storage as an unbuilt frame set unfortunately there is some slight shop wear – mainly a number of paint chips around the edges of the head tube, bb, and seat tube, one chip on the drive chain stay, a couple of chips on the chain stay bridge, one chip on the head tube – but this frame set was never built up until I purchased 2 years ago. It has a total of 3 rides on it. There is no rust, and no other damage to the frameset whatsoever. As from chips mentioned. Paint is absolutely stunning in person, photos do not show the true glowing color. Cinelli handle bars, miche post, concor saddle, new veloflex pave tubulars on Mavic ceramic rims with dura ace hubs, look pedals, the rest pretty much all dura ace.
I don’t think I have to say much more about this one, so, the measurements:
56cm top tube cc
59cm seat tube cc, 60(+) ct
42cm Chain Stays
55.5cm seat stays
17.5cm head tube
126mm rear spacing (easily spaced to 130)
100mm front spacing
68mm english BB shell
Frame + fork weigh 2957g
Braze-on front derailleur
Shimano EF horizontal dropouts
Engraved hummingbirds on amazing lugs
Wishbone seat stay
Top tube cable channel
Nice engravings and cutouts on bottom bracket
Paint, chrome, headset, bb shell, dropouts, etc. are all in excellent condition (with paint chips as noted above and pictured below).
Local pickup welcomed, shipped for actual shipping cost via bike flights / fed ex. Buyer assumes any PayPal / credit cards fees should they elect to pay that way.
Look how clean bottom of chainstay is, only 3 rides on this classic.

That's way too nice for a poor white boy like me. And I'd probably get rolled, trying to ride it, around here.

I will be in the Scranton, Pa area Friday if any Northeast Pa or North Jersey folks want to buy, delivery is possible.
Also, I work in NYC and Princeton, NJ at least one day week as well for the NYC and Philadelphia folks.
