I had one several years back, picked up on CL for $60. I powder coated it orange and rode it as a single speed for a couple of years. A very nice bike! Sold it because I wanted something that would fit tires larger than 25mm.

Good luck with your search!

nothing active on eBay, and no recent sales on eBay either. I wonder if they were produced in same numbers.

Funny thing...I have searched Craigslist in a couple of the largest metro areas (East & West coast) for a Univega Superstrada or Competizione. I could not find a single active listing. Were there few made or do people hold on to them?

You might be better served by using a search engine like adhuntr which searches all craigslist ads for listings. You could also set up a google alert to notify you when content is posted. But yeah, As an owner of one, they are nice bikes and people do tend to hold on to them.

Sorry I don't have one for you but they do exist. I have seen 2 in the last year on the local CL. One was a frame and a box of parts. I saved it and moved it on. It was your size!!. The other was a huge one, a 25 1/2 in frame which I would have bought as well if it was smaller. Both were early models with components that were just ok. The complete blue one:

I found this frame about 5 years ago and bought it since it was so clean. It would be a later model. See shifter bosses. The paint was beautiful.

Try this site as well: Dailylister - Search Craigslist, Oodle, Kijiji, eBayClassifieds and others nationwide. Find: univega competizione

Yes, the white one is very impressive. I have a red frame/fork not builtup that is of the same vintage as yours. Mine has a lot of rust damage. I have another post in CV regarding suggestions for repairing it. I think I may be too hopeful it can be fixed. So, I am searching for a new one

I had one. I had it listed on this board last fall. It took awhile but it did finally sell.

Hello,

I happen to have one of these for sale. I would love it to go to someone who appreciated it.
