Excellent condition 1990 Team Miyata Frameset, 56cm. $500

If you're here looking at this you know Miyata was on par with the better European steel frames.

I bought the frameset NOS two years ago and built it up. It's been ridden fewer than 3,000 miles. Only blemishes are on the inside of the nds chainstay where I had some tire rub from failing to tighten the skewer enough, and a very mild cable rub on the headtube. Stronglight headset included.

Local pickup or buyer pays for shipping, probably about $50.

How much do you want for it? I have the same frame and it is probably the finest frame I have ever ridden. Although the fork crown looks like a unicrown it's actually an investment case aerodynamic fork crown. The fork crown, bottom bracket, and the lugs are all investment cast.

That frame is in excellent condition.

The stronglight A9 headset is first rate as well: The Retrogrouch: Roller "Needle" Bearing Headsets

Yep, the OP can check but I'm fairly certain that frame is 56 CT on the seat tube and the same length on the top tube which would make it 55 cm CC square (both seat and top tube).

Nice frame. I had an '89 FullPro and I think this is the same frame, braze on for the number plate and all. That thing had lazer fast handling, pure race bike. I should have never sold it.

Tempting....

I'll measure the top tube and let you know. Not sure what catalogs we're all looking at. The 1990 catalog clearly says 56cm in two places.

The seat tube is 22" center to top (I don't have a metric measuring tape) and the top tube is 21 3/4" center to center.

This catalog, although it shows the Team Miyata in a darker blue......

Look at Page 32 for frame geometries.....

Yep. 55cm top tube and the seat tube, measured c to c like everyone else would be 55cm, even though Miyata lists it as 56cm.

There's something odd about the way in which Bikeforums allows editing of the title of a post. When you look at the title along with all other titles it's missing, if you click on it, it's there. $500.

For anyone who is interested, this goes on ebay at 9 PM this evening, so Message me if you want it before then, as I will need to take down the posting here. $500 plus buyer pays $50 for shipping.

Darn...if only it was a 54cm (C-C)....
I used to have a 89/90 Team Miyata (full Dura-Ace 7400) back in the day and it was just an incredible ride.
