Circa 1983 Austro Damlier Puch Vent Noir black chrome type finish

As previously discussed in appraisal forum I am selling a circa 1983 Austro Damlier Puch Vent Noir for $300 plus shipping. I am currently located in NYC but purchased it from Vinsentin's Bike Store in Oyster Bay Long Island. It has the "black chrome" type finish. The Styr Astro Damlier Puch decal is on the seat tube but the head tube badge says Puch. If interested, please PM me.

Dimensions:
  • Seat tube: 20"
  • Stem Reach 4"
  • Handlebar Width 17"
  • Chainwheel Triple: 50 - 45 - 28
  • Freewheel; 13 teeth smallest 32 teeth largest
  • Wheels: 700 x 23C
Parts:
  • Tubes: Forks Tubes Stays: Reynolds 531
  • Dropouts: Gipiemmes
  • Hubs: Campagnolo
  • Rim Front: Mavic Open Sport
  • Rim Rear: Mavic MA3
  • Brakes Front & Rear: Winemann Carerra Sidepulls
  • Handlebars: Deda Alumninum (replacement) with synthetic wrap
  • Handlebar Stem: Nitto Technomic
  • Derailleur Front and Rear: Huret Duopar, R has titanium parts
  • Shifters: Huret friction
  • Suntour Freewheel
  • Cranks and front sprockets: TA
  • Pedals: Look
  • Seat: Terry Anatomic Mens Liberator
  • Seat Tube: Selle San Marco
  • Headset: Shimano 600 (will throw in that weird scalloped wrench)
  • Rims, spokes, seat, pedals, chain not original
Also includes the following original parts:
  • Cinelli Giro D'Italia aluminum handlebars 15 1/2"
  • Cinelli aluminum stem reach 4"
  • Atom 77 Freewheel worn out
  • Original chain also worn out
More Pictures on DropBox click here.

Very rideable. It has been stored indoors suspended from padded hooks on the top tube. I am selling it because I have no room in my apartment and do not ride that much anymore. I will definitely not part out this bicycle. Sold whole or nothing.

Out of curiosity... will larger tires fit in there? 28s or 32s?

TGB, I really don't know. The best I could do is point you to the Mavic website, maybe they might have some information? From the post:
  • Rim Front: Mavic Open Sport
  • Rim Rear: Mavic MA3

The rims don't help much; the reach of the brakes is helpful. Longer reach brakes make it more likely that it can take a bit fatter tire. If you read this, it will tell you how to measure the brake reach.

Installing and Adjusting Caliper Brakes

Putting the reach of the brakes in the ad will help sell the bike. This is an attractive bike.

BM, Good suggestion! When I get home tonight, I'll measure and re-post. Thanks for the tip and the compliment.

What is the c-c top tube length?

Can you post some more details in photos, either here, or better yet at a photo sharing site with a link?

Thanks

Alternatively, measure the width of the chain stays across the tire. That would allow someone to estimate. My guess is that it will take 32s.
