This is also for sale on Ebay. I am offering it here at a discount.

For sale is a highly original eggplant (very dark purple) colored 1983 Ciocc San Cristobal. 61cm ctc seat tube, 60cm ctc top tube. Paint and decals are original. Components include:
  • Campagnolo Super Record derailleurs, Bullseye jockey wheels
  • Pantographed Campagnolo shift levers
  • Pantographed Campagnolo Record Brakes, Dia Compe lever hoods
  • new San Marco Concor saddle with matching leather bar tape
  • Specialized hubs laced to Saturae clincher rims

Beautiful! I used to own a San Cristobal back in '79 and still consider it one of the finest riding bikes I've ever ridden.

I'd be really happy to sell this to a forum member so please feel free to make offers. I won't be insulted by anything (although I may tell you to get lost).

Damn,! If only that bike was a size 56cm, I'll be sending you a PM this morning to buy it! That Ciocc looks to be a quintessential example of a top line Italian bike from the 80's!
Recently got a bonus from work that I really want to partly spend on a new C&V bike aquisition. An awesome Bianchi Giro just slipped from my hands in this forum, because of delivery conditions, so I am so hot to find that next bike to make me feel better!
(Anyone selling a Columbus framed 1983 Gitane Pro Team Replica in VGC out there right now for a reasonable price??!).

Me too! First time I'm tempted to buy a bike that doesn't fit just because it's so beautiful.

It doesn't get much better than this folks. Top of the line Italian frame with top of the line parts. Pantrographs, upgraded jockey wheels, super clean. The San Cristobal was Ciocc's pinnacle model. Too big for me and outside my wheelhouse, but this the one if you can get your leg over it. Very fair price.

Thanks for the good words. This is a hard one to sell but it is just too big for me. It is also a little past my favorite time period. Plus I just bought four new bikes and I have to make room for and finance the new acquisitions.

I've received a pretty good offer for just the panto components but they are all original to this bike (I am the second owner) and I hate to break it up.

I'm willing to sell the following from this bike for $1200 plus shipping:
  • frame and fork
  • Campagnolo SR headset
  • Campagnolo bottom bracket
  • Ciocc pantographed seat post
  • Ciocc pantographed stem
  • Cinelli bars
  • Ciocc pantographed brake levers
  • Ciooc pantographed shifters
  • Bottle cage and Ciocc bottle
  • Ciocc bar end caps

No brakes, no wheels, no crankset, no derailleurs, no seat, no pedals, no bar tape.

Easier and cheaper shipping, use your own components to build it out. Includes all the Ciocc panto parts.
