1981 Univega Gran Rally
Up for sale is completely stock and original (except bar tape) 1981 Univega Gran Rally. The seat tube measures 58cm c-t and the top tube is 54cm c-c, giving it a very relaxed geometry that is perfect someone whose legs are longer than your torso.
This bike was built when production moved to Japan and I was told it is essentially the same as a Miyata 912. It features Tange Champion tubing.
The bike has a complete Shimano 600 EX "Arabesque" groupset, including derailleurs, shifters, headset, pedals, brakes, brake levers, and wheel hubs laced to 27" Araya rims. Seat post, stem, and bars are SR. The bike has the original saddle, toe clip straps, and brake cables.
I freshly rebuilt the bottom bracket, headset, pedal, and wheel bearings. The bar tape is brand new blue Newbaum's with 4 coats of clear shellac. Everything has been cleaned and lubed.
The only flaws are someone took some mismatched nail polish or paint to scratches on the frame. I took a picture to show an example.
High res photos can be seen here: https://flickr.com/photos/28782245@N...57684790147925
I'm asking $350 obo. I prefer to sell it locally in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Thanks for looking and enjoy your day!

I have one buyer for it but I need to see how much time, work, and cost is involved in shipping it. My preference was to sell it locally, but he is the only buyer out there and I promised him I would get back to him first on it. I will keep you posted, thanks.
