Either one, I have an 8 speed setup but I usually use friction.

I'm away from home for the week, but I have one or the other back home. I just put my hands in some DT's, but couldn't find them again this AM before I left - but they are close...

Sloar, are you still looking for a complete set of downtube shifters. I have a complete set of 8-speed indexed Shimano 600 tricolor downtube shifters that are available.
