    Ultegra 9 Speed Group

This is a complete Ultegra 9 speed (6500) group. I'm a big fan of Shimano 9 speed, more so than 10 speed, but I've held on to this for too long without a frame for it. I need to get more specifics (I don't have it in front of me) but I want to get it listed to gauge interest. The group consists of the below for $250 shipped CONUS: ***SOLD***

    Shifters
    Crankset (double)
    Bottom bracket (english)
    Front derailleur
    Rear derailleur
    Brakes

If you want to move the shifters and brakes independently of the rest of the group, send me a pm. Otherwise, that's an excellent price for the whole group.

It's got a great classic look.

    Pictures!
I just took these quickly this morning so if anyone would like some better just let me know. The crankset has shoe rub but still has most of the lettering, it's just hard to see in the pictures.

If you do end up parting out I'd be interested in that RD for the technium.

If not sold - I will buy!
It will complete the Jamis frame I purchased yesterday - see Classic Appraisals.

It will sell. The price is great. I had this group until stolen. It was excellent. 9-speed stuff is great.

Good news, it's found a new home.
I agree completely on the 9 speed stuff. I prefer the feel of it over 10 speed and for me it's been much more durable than 10 speed. The only complaint I have now is that the shifter faceplates are hard to find these days, and a lot of the 9 speed shifters need them.

Can't wait. Question, should I put this on the Kona or Jamis frame?
This gruoup is a little better than the group I have on the Kona now.

I wonder if the Kona Kapu or the Jamis Eclipse is the better frame?

Wow, tough call. I just looked up a picture of your Kona and it's nice. Orange with chrome lugs is hard to beat! But I'd probably put this group on the Jamis since the Kona is already built, then make a final decision. I think it would be great on either of the two.

With everything else being about equal, I would favor improving on an orange frame.
Reading BF for the last couple of years has taught me a lot, including how many beautiful orange bikes are out there.
One day I'll add one to make up for my orange MTB that got stolen.

o.O Dang boy! How many irons do you have in the fire right now? And are they all as drool worthy as the 3 I know of?

    It is a busy summer.
Thank goodness my wife has gone from worried about the number of bikes, to being very supportive.

    Trek 520 upgrade
    Trek 500 Upgrade
    Schwinn Peloton build
Jamis Eclipse - kind of fell into my lap
Kona rebuild after TOSRV, new rims - respoke existing Ultegra Hubs

Now I need to look for a Tandem, cause my wife wants to get into cycling.

Simple solution, buy TWO GROUPS! Can't have just one 9 speed Ultegra bike!!!!
