Vintage Schwinn Voyageur 25" frame & fork

Vintage Schwinn Voyageur 25" frame & Chrome Fork ($65) plus actual shipping.
I will pack at my expense.

I have listed several of my 25" frames as I now prefer a 24" frame size.

Looks to be a 1983 model according to catalog. I think this is one of the Panasonic built frames.
Please correct me if I am wrong on either point.

The reason the price is lower than I have seen these Voyageur frames is because it has a cosmetic
only ding in seat tube on non drive side. Appears to me someone clamped it too tightly in a bike stand
but I am not sure. Also has paint and decal scrapes.
    See Pic.

    Top Tube is 58cm

    Champion 2 double butted tubing.

This is not the SP model/
    Original catalog link here:

Note: this model uses side pull brake calipers and not the cantilevers used in later years.

I have had it built up and it rides very nice. It can take up to a true size 700 x 38.

It turned out to be too tall for my preferences but is a sweet riding bike.

Again, the reason the price is much lower than you will find these is because it has a cosmetic
only ding in seat tube on non drive side.
Please check out if out and don't go for it if this will be a problem for you.

Do you still have the frameset? Is that the matching fork? Looks like a lot of threading sticking out the top?

    Frame is still available.

As far as I know it is the original fork but not 100% certain.
Guy I got it from about 1 to 2 years back claimed to be original owner as I recall.
Online catalogs I saw showed them painted but the ones from this period were chrome under the paint
so he must have stripped off the paint.

I think it had a Tange Levin or similar JIS headset. Fit with no problem.

I will find a pic I took of it built up with a view of that area.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Both myself and good cycling friend really liked how this bike rode.
24" works better for me these days so I am selling 25" frames I have.

The goof up by previous owner with dings in down tube is a cosmetic issue potential buyer needs to accept.

    Thanks.

Well, headset was a Shimano 600 not a Tange Levin.

That is a fantastic deal. It's nowhere near my size and I have too many bicycles and framesets anyway. I'm surprised this has sat so long, frankly.
