peugeot frame measurement

Hi Guys ,

Quick question ,

Did peugeot measure their frames from crank centre to the very top of the seat tube including the piece of steel that rextends above the top tube or from crank centre to the point on the seatpost no higher than the top tube .Need to know if my bike is a 60cm or 58cm frame . Thanks if you can help

Convention for center-to-top is the top of the top tube, since the height of the seat tube extension is irrelevant unless one is riding a frame that is way too big.

+1 Does not matter how Peugeot measured, as long as you are consistent and label your add accordingly.

Peugeot measured frame size from the crank center to the top of the seat lug according to this 1989 catalog page.

When I bought my Peugeot (new), it was sold to me as a 25 inch framed bicycle.

2.54 cm = 1 inch, so thats 63.5 cm = 25 inches.

It looks like the measurement from center of crank- to top- is between top of top tube and top of seat post lug.
I guess it is an approximation, but pretty close.
