Fork ID
I have a fork which I was told was a Tange, but I do not see that marked anywhere on the steer tube. It has Shimano dropouts and rifling. Any information would be great.

looks like a standard tange replacement fork for a quality tubing bicycle. tange offered them with two or three different steerer lengths. the threaded portion of the steerer is longer than that on an oem fork so it can be trimmed to the required length without the need to add additional threads.

Six helical ribs in the steer tube indicates Tange "Champion" level tubing: seamless chrome-moly. This is a Good Thing.

Thanks for the responses as I was unsure of the fork when I purchased it as most Tange forks I have seen say "Tange" on the steer tube. Good to hear I did not get a junk fork

Tange stamps "Tange" on the steer tubes of forks they braze, regardless of what tubing is used. If someone else brazed the fork, it wouldn't be stamped.
