I'm pretty stoked. Just bought this Basso Astra.
After not riding for about 10 years I decided it was time to get back in the saddle again. I couldn't bring myself to buy something new, so I bought this '92 Basso Astra. It has Columbus EL OS tubing and is set up with period correct Dura Ace 7400. I'm extremely excited to put some miles on it.

That's a nice bike! I've always liked Bassos and my 7400 group has worked so flawlessly over the past 20 years I have never felt the need to "upgrade" it. Good call going vintage, that bike is timeless.

You're right. It is a 7410 crankset. I didn't notice that when I bought it. It was a NOS frame that was built with NOS parts 3 years ago and only has 300 miles on it. I'm kind of a freak about cars and motorcycles being period correct so I guess I need to find a NOS 7400 crankset, but I can live with this one until I do.

The 7410 is a perfect fit in my books, I wouldn't change a thing. Looks great on the bike, and it's an iteration within the group, really - seems pretty appropriate matched with the various 740X components.

I had been watching that bike on eBay with the intent of bidding on it as it got closer to the end. When I checked yesterday it had been pulled by the seller and was no longer available. It had been sitting at $400 with $125 shipping. I am happy for you.
