I'm no expert, but I suspect the fork isn't original.

Pretty wild bike, I'd buy it. It should clean up nicely. The fork looks like an old '90's Amp Research. Didn't know they made road forks but I guess so.

I'd buy it for the fork alone.

Looks like a pre-89 ST, though a mile would be a long ride with that seat angle. Nice grab.

I'm skeptical of that fork. You don't need a suspension fork for a road bike. This just adds another point of possible failure on a bike. Plus a replacement fork may be indication that the bike has been crashed.

Or set up to race on the cobbles in Europe.

This is part of the reason Cannondale introduced the Headshok for road bikes. There were a number of other examples as well from the late '80s into the '90s as a means to introduce a bit of "forgiveness" into aluminum frames. Here's the shock on my '96 SR500

But Cannondale was not alone. Here is a Bianchi road bike with full suspension!

As you read in the article, Greg LeMond used a Rockshox in 1991. Here's a picture of him on the cobbles in 1993.

I would love that Bianchi!!! I wouldn't touch the Cannondale with a 39 and a half foot pole. Unless it Under $150ish

The Bianchi is pretty...what's the word I'm looking for...Ugly! Sorry, but it looks like it was assembled from leftover pipes. Yikes!
