    Lotus Legend

I got a Lotus Legend today. Some scratches. Serial number MH 11619. Yellow.
Shimano 600 Arabesque group. Unfortunatelly, the rear derailleur is broken, at least I saw that it is missing the spring from inside.
The seller tricked me. I didn't have time to check it. What is the solution? A used derailluer from e-bay? Maybe I can use the spring from another derailleur?
Araya wheels with Shimano 600 hubs.
I don't have pictures yet, maybe tomorrow.

I have a Legend frame right now. Beautiful bike, but really unusual geometry. Something like a 50cm seat tube c-t-t, and a 57 cm TT, c-t-c. Could be my first bike with lots of seat post showing.

Have you tried contacting the seller for a reimbursement?

If it's the main spring controlling the derailer travel, lots of luck repairing. For what it's worth, I brought a vintage LX derailer to the bike shop with the same problem. Their comment was, it would cost more than it's worth to repair and we can't guarantee that we can repair it. This from a very vintage friendly shop.

Used derailleurs are generally pretty cheap and easy to find. Just replace it.

    I paid 80$ on it.
How much should I ask him? And what about 120 miles round trip to take the money. I think it doesn't worth.

I will try to get another Shimano 600 Arabesque.
What about if I replace all 600 parts and flip the bike?

I just look in the box with junk/broken derailleurs.
Found a Shimano, looking like the 600 I have. I put the missing spring and it is working!!
