Need help identifying Rossin frame

I just picked up this Rossin frame from an online auction. The seller could not tell me anything about it. I am hoping someone here can shed some light on it for me. I have searched the internet for one that was close. The best I could find is a Ghibli, possibly 80 something? There does not seem to be much info about Rossin's online. I have not found any with the same paint job. Also I noticed the cable routing is above the top tube instead of inside and the headset is shimano. Any help is appreciated.

The pictures are from the auction site, I have not received the frame as of yet.

That looks like a Rossin Record with updated paint/decals. Repainted. Note the Portacatena-drilled DS dropout, over-BB gear cable routing, no paint in the engravings, no tubing decal. Early 80s. The front derailleur tab may have been added when it was repainted.

Most likely Columbus SL. Quality frame.

I wouldn't mind betting that your frame is an early 80's Rossin Record. It may be made out of Columbus SL or perhaps Columbus KL tubing. Have a look at this website especially in the 2012 and 2013 archives. 'Vintage Rossin Archive: VINTAGE ROSSIN ARCHIVE

Thanks. I'll have to do some paint scraping when it shows up and see what the original color was. Any idea of the value of one of these?

Value - I would expect to pay a similar price for this frame as any quality early 80's frame. I had no real interest in the Rossin marque for quite some time, until I bought one then I realised the good build quality of my frame. Mario Rossin seemed to have learnt his craft in the Colnago factory and became a master fabricator.

Thanks for the info guys. I would like to restore it, is there somewhere I can see what colors were available for it? Possibly color codes for a paint match. This is of course if I can't find the original color under whats there.

It's funny, but I've not seen early Rossins in a wide variety of colors. In fact, I've only seen them in red and blue.

Not that it matters - paint it the color you want it. You'll never get back what you put into a paint job when/if you re-sell in the future, so make yourself happy now by picking a color you'll be happiest with.

I agree Drillium Dude, but I want to be perfectly clear on what it is before I do the "wrong" thing to it.

My frame showed up today, finally, customs takes forever. Anyway I checked for a respray where its chipped and there only seems to be one paint job on it (could have been media blasted). One question though... Drillium dude said about no paint in the engravings,,, This one has the letters raised not engraved. The only ones I can find reference to that are this way are the prestige (hexagon tubing, mine is round) and the super record.

When I first saw it I thought it could be an original paint job. As Drillium Dude suggests, the colour you choose to paint this frame can be anything you like. I know what you mean re the raised lettering on the seat stay caps. Are there any engravings on the head tube lugs?
