Unknown Bianchi with Columbus, full campagnolo

I paid $25 for this Bianchi that I found on Craigslist and it has been repainted.
It has Columbus frame with full campagnolo and was wondering if anyone knew what model this is?image.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpg

Nice purchase for $25! With a repaint, I would question the decals. Verify by checking the tubing dimensions and looking for the dove on the steerer. At least it doesn't have the unicrown on the fork!
Bikes don't stand alone. They are two tired.

Definitely a great bargain, despite the unfortunate repaint.

looks like late 80s early 90s campy athena- so id bet its Columbus. look at bianchi from around 88-93 or something and you can probably find a match.

if you are lucky its a Giro with SLX tubing. (and we know you are lucky with that $25 buy)

Who says it was repainted? When you remove the BB to overhaul it look for the SLX 'ribs' in the seat and down tubes.

I am Jetboy I suspect it is a '89 Giro, perhaps in the original Matte Black paint. If that is a 59 and you want to double your money let me know

Yes Bianchigirl and jetboy this is an 89 Giro. When to a Bianchi dealer to overhaul the bottom bracket and check for SLX marking.
    Thank you the information

You should use a better lock. Anyone with bolt cutters could snip that cable faster than you could buy a cup of coffee.

Neither. Just clean it up real good and ride. The '89 had a interesting matte black w/ clearcoat frame so while it looks like it will clean up and maybe take a nice waxing it will not shine like most black bikes.

It unfortunately seems to have more than its fair share of nicks and scrapes but a appropriate paint job for this will cost around $400 and up. Is the seat set up for you?

What about when you stop? Let me know if you want to double your money on that. I wish I had something to trade for it.
