Just wanted to say thanks!
Chrome Molly came to the rescue a couple of weeks ago.
I have been battling some health issues and building bikes is a little tough right now.
My son needed to have his new Della Santa built and I simply wasn't up to the task.
My sons' buddies were riding up to our cabin near the BWCA and he didn't have a bike handy in his size.
I couldn't do it and my guy at the local shop was backed up to a five week wait. I didn't want to jump the line, as my mechanic already had a few folks waiting on his free time.
Pete took my box of parts and frameset and knocked this beauty out in a few days.
My son has now put over 500 miles on the Della Santa since the build and loves it.
Thanks again Pete.

Gomango,
Sorry to hear of your health troubles. It's nice to have friends. But you know that

Aw shucks... Happy to see it is not sitting still.
It's a real nice frame and compared to some of the more vintage stuff I've done recently, it was a pleasure to knock out a roadie in a couple evenings. I think the 28's will do really well on the northern Mn roads this summer.

Health issues suck. Here's hoping you're back to good in no time.
And good on the BF members helping each other out. Seems like a lot of that goes on around here.

Good to see that Della Santa on the road. Big thumbs up to Pete. Wishing you get well soon, Grady. I love seeing your builds, but mostly I appreciate your enthusiasm for bikes and riding. Good luck with whatever you are dealing with.

Yet more evidence that this is the forum to hang out in. Good times, good people. Get well soon!
ps - you may think I'm dense, but until I saw someone's post to you somewhere around here today, I just thought you really liked mangos.

Great looking build. Kudos Chrome Molly! Way to help a brother out. Grady, I hope you're able to put the health issues behind you soon!
@mountaindave: you're not the only one who read it as "Go Mango!" For the first couple years I was a member here, I just imagined him as being really into smoothies.

Thanks guys! Yes, that kid of ours leads a charmed existence having a bike fiend for a father.
I'm going to be fine. Nothing life threatening.
Just too many boxes checked in the doctor's office in the wrong column.
Rheumatoid arthritis has been a bear though. The side effects of the meds are a drag as well.
The great news is I can ride off the unexpected weight gain, as the legs and lungs feel great.
Pete is a great guy though and I know you guys will like to meet him on our Twin Cities ride.

Pete is one of the good ones, and probably got a kick out of building the Della Santa, as well.
He also had a great customer, as I know from personal experience that you're one of the good ones, as well, Grady.
Win, Win, and you get better. RA is a major hurdle every day, so concentrate on that.
Bikes will be there for you when the time is right.

Great teamwork! I selfishly wish my son had been less into cars. Over time had gotten him two pretty nice bicycles, one of which he rode once. I'm glad he has his own dreams, and had to adjust my parental bonding strategies.
p.s. Hope you're feeling better quickly, gomango.

Veering slightly OT - have you tried Gelatin for your RA? Yes, gelatin. It did wonders for my joint swelling issues.

Nice!
That's what this forum is all about.
Grady, it's time to get out of that Minnesota cold, and make your way to Florida. It works wonders for us New Yorkers!
Get well my friend!
