Last question, what brand paint did you use. I'm assuming a polyurethane enamel of some sort?

Good job. She looks beautiful.

The Romic frame is all chrome. The Metal Cast paint is supposed to look like an anodized part. I think it looks like chromovelato.
If you are painting a frame not chrome, there is an additional step called Metal Coat Ground Coat.

An automotive paint store can mix any color you want and put it in a rattle-can.

I don't know if the Rust-oleum is different but my daughter used a similar paint(Krylon or Testor's) on a model rocket. It looked great until we sprayed it with clear, then it went from a high gloss blue chrome finish to a dull satin finish. You might want to do a test shot first.

I sprayed the fork a couple weeks ago. The clear looks good.

That Paint looks good. But, if you're going to use a rattle can. Try this, real automotive paints in rattle cans, from primers to clears. Great results.

I've asked around, and Rustoleum has been pretty universally declared a better choice for finishing metal than Krylon and others.

Beautiful job, Flog. Hoping I'll be ready to make my painting attempt here before long.
