i doubt i could find a matching color.. that white is over 50 years old..

You don't really have to match the white. Wax, clearcoat, and other materials invariably add a yellowish tint. I tried matching the white on a PX10 a few years ago and found the original paint on the frame was any number of shades of white, while what I sprayed on was always the same. It matched in some places, not in others. I polished and buffed, added wax, buffed some more... and before long it all matched more or less.
