Another mysterious frame identification
Hi there! I've got another mystery at my hands. This time this 26.6mm seatpost (although i'm not with a paquimeter on my hands, a 26.8mm one almost fits is), italian thread bb. By scratching the dropouts I couldn't find any visible stamps and I have no idea of any components and fork that it came originally. I can read the serial number as 903273 and have never seen those lugs before, does anyone have any idea?

The lugs look like slightly modified Cresperas. Crespera usually means Carlton.

Drop-outs look like Simplex, which points to French or British production.

Yes, it does. Lugs and drop-outs seem to match the ca 1980 model.

Not sure of the identity. Verify the threading.
Show a photo of the front of the head tube. Those look like Nervex lugs, but not the "Pro" version. However, I think a variety of bikes used those lugs. Motobecane?

If you think it might be Italian threading on the BB just try inserting a British or French threaded cup. They are smaller and will slide into the BB shell without the threads engaging at all.
If you try the reverse, an Italian cup will be too large to fit either a British or French threaded BB shell.

in seventh photo it appears rh stays are out too far from centreline compared to those of lh. may possibly be a photographic effect. or perhaps someone opened the rear triangle to accept a wider hub. the rh cs always moves more easily in such cases due to the double dimpling... an alignment check may in be order.

oh, i don't think i have been clear enough, the fork is NOT original at all. I'm 90% sure that it is a peugeot indeed, i just need to check the bb shell diameter. thanks for all the answers!
