Help Identifying this beautiful Colnago
Hey All,
I just found this beautiful Colnago, but have some trouble identifying it.
It seems to me that this is a Colnago / Columbo frame. Only the stickers, that look quite original to me, say 'Thurau' in stead of Colnago.
The model reminds me of the Colnago Superissimo, but doesn't come with the chrome on the front of the frame.
It also has two clovers on the front of the frame, instead of one like the 90's Superissimo models i've seen.
The Rider fork isn't original i suppose...
Is there someone who can give me more information on what model this actually is or it's 'authenticity' / timing?
Here are some photo's.
Thanks in advance!

It might have been contract by Colnago but that wouldn't make it a Colnago. Personally I don't the lug cutouts look right for Colnago lugs.
Looks like a nice bike though.

I'm thinking a mid 70's Colnago Super.
Probably repainted with a replacement fork.
Look closely at the rear dropouts... should be either Campy or Colnago.
The top of the seat stays of the 70's Super models were plain.
The bike also has 70's model Campy parts. And, I think later bikes had downtube shifter braze-ons.
Cable routing is also above the BB, which is a 70's feature.

I am still going with 70's Super.
Take some better photos of the top of the seat stays and get ID from the rear dropouts.

The fork is probably a replacement
Here are a couple of Super feature lists:
Colnago features to assist dating 1960s-1970s
Velo-Retro: Colnago Super Timeline
According to the notes, 1972 - water bottle braze-ons added to the DT (appears to be in the photo).
1974 - DT Shifter braze-ons added (NOT in the photo).
1970 --> ??? Club cutout on the BB.
1973 or 1974, only lower headlug cutout. Prior to that, both top and bottom lugs had cutouts (as in the photo).
1976 Short horizontal dropouts (I think these are the long ones)
The TT Cable guides seem to be earlier than expected, but notes indicate it as an "option".
So, I'd put the features most consistant with a 1972, or perhaps 1973 Colnago Super frame. That is, except the non-Colnago fork.
