Help Identifying This Bike?

I'm led to believe this is a cheapo Taiwanese mountain bike. But I can't find any record of "Crown Wheel Co, ltd." Does anyone know anything about the history of this bike/brand?

I bought it at a garage sale for $5 because I wanted the toe clips (not pictured) for my commuter. So if the rest is worth scrap that's fine by me. I'm not concerned so much about the value of the bike as I am curious about the history.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

I'd throw it on CL for a minimal amount - unless I had some need for a beater MTB.

Never heard of the bike company, but based on components, was probably some spec'd entry level machine that would have been considerably nicer than big-box offerings.

Just a guess, but the OP might be in Indonesia based on his NTX location (IATA Code NTX is Natuna Ranai Airport), so he may not have CL.

Regardless of the brand, the one-piece crank and low-end components peg it as very basic, even for the period during which it was produced. If you got useable toe clips off it you got your money's worth and can afford to donate what's left. The red anodized seat post clamp is probably the most valuable thing remaining on it.

I would also say the bars are worth $5 or so.
