My bike is kooler than yours!

I wanted to start a thread of bikes that may not necessarily outperform other bikes, may not have the "best" components that even shift all that well or even reliably at all, but at the end of the day just ooze kool.

Check this out on eBay now.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Corima-Puma-...-/191655785659

This bike has Mavic Mektronic which is enough to usually win the kool award most days, but look at that Corima Puma. This has to take the kool award. On top of that almost the entire build is french, including the Look ergo stem, I believe. Exceptions I can see are the Speedplay pedals and the Selle Italia Storika saddle. Still one of the koolest saddles I've ever seen. A Mavic seat post in 25.0? That would be impossible to find, if not sourced new as I expect that one was.

Wow. Just wow.

If a cat road by on this bike and told me, "My bike is kooler than yours…" what on earth could I possibly say but, yes, yes it is. Maybe I'm a dork to want to mess with that almost tout Mavic build (headset, crankset, calipers, seat post, Mektronic computer/shifters/derailleurs, and wheel set, but I wonder what this would look like with Aerospokes?

Thread to show just James Dean kool bikes. This one may not even effectively shift anymore, but it just looks great standing there by the tree!

Personally...and I never claim to be cool...I do not find this bike to be cool. If someone rode up to me on this bike, they would probably be a "go fast" type of person...and, to me, cool denotes laid back...and sure of oneself...this particular bike does neither of those for me!

I submit my Cimarron build. Local CL had a WTB ad from a guy looking for a tall mountain bike reasonably priced and I composed a reply including the line, "I'm betting you're not too cool to be seen on this bike" but I never clicked the Send button, having decided I did not want to sell it.

I made this one myself out of an old road bike frame I got from my grandparents, it's a Flandria or a Superia, I'm not sure... (my grandmother used to work at the Flandria factory and my grandfather worked next door at the Superia factory), it had been painted 3 times before in 3 different colours so it wasn't worth keeping it how it was... it was blue when I got it, under that it was white and the original colour was a kind of metallic red...

I have another one, an Achielle Sam but it's not classic or vintage... I bought it new in 2014

@thumpism, that old Soubitez headlight is very cool. Is that the generator drive riding on top of the rear wheel?

My old Ross Super GRAND Tour Professional was "undeniably cool," at least according to the guy I sold it to; but what a rotten bike to have to actually ride; heavy, slow, with a boneshakingly unforgiving ride.

Yes, seemed like a good place since the bike has no fenders. Yet. Generator placement may soon require a rethink.

Yup. You might say that seeing that bike and not getting a chance to take a spin on it is cool and unusual punishment
