Hopefully she will ride it. The paint has a few flaws and next time I will use a different brand.
The ST frames have 128mm rear spacing, so the wheel is a tight fit, but works great. I did have to use Tektro long reach brakes going from 27" to 700C wheels. Went from over 20 pounds to right at 18.
The guys on the CV forums were a lot of help with doing the conversion.

The decals came from Vintage Cannondale.
I have probably 100 hours and another $150 plus into paint, supplies, and the gun. I found out afterwards that Omni is known for easily chipping. I would not recommend using it. Pay a little more and get something better.
I elected not to go the powder coat route. The frames a heat treated and no one could tell me if it was safe to bake the frame at the higher temps required for the powder coating.

Just finished this very special vintage '87 Cannondale build for a fellow in Tampa who always wanted one of these but couldn't afford one until now. Original finish on the frame, although it did require some hand-mixed touchups. The Dura Ace 8 speed group is almost all new- everything but the brake calipers and hubs- right out of the boxes, from a personal hoard that I'd acquired over several years:
Seat post is a period correct Shimano 640X, tires are Vittoria Rubino Pro III's, hubs are laced to new Pacenti PL23 polished box section rims. That's a 12-23 cassette on there (hey, Florida is pretty flat!) and a KMC chain. Stainless Shimano cables on the brakes, original stainless 7402 cables on the derailleurs. 3TTT anatomic/ergo bars with a Cinelli stem. Even the bar tape, saddle and cable housing matched up pretty well, I think:
Fun build, really nice guy to work with, all in all a great project.

I rode your twin bike for about a year and sold it to a friend in Ybor City. He rides it now and again. It was a nice bike for sure.

This is not mine but it is for sale local on CL and it looks so nice I thought I would post it up. Delete if it violates any rules. Maybe someone is interested? If it was my size it would be home already. I did email the person, they think it is a 1989 model year. It is a SR 900. I'll post mine one of these days if I ever get some good photos of them.

I'm not in love with Cannondales, but that one looks like a beauty at a very nice price.

Here is my 1997 CAD3 R500. Only the frame, seatpost and headset are original. All of the RSX stuff got taken off for another bike. It got an upgrade of mostly Shimano 600 tricolor group that I took off my Marinoni special. Instead of the Shimano brifters, I did switch them to some Microshift r8.
