Anyone up for a fall Twin Cities C&V ride?

I'm just getting caught up on BF after weekend of camping - Oct 3 works for me.
When is TC Marathon though? Usually that weekend I think but not sure if it is Saturday or Sunday affair. Pretty much the same route isn't it? Could be some conflicts on the trails?

I thought it was Sunday also and just verified that - Oct 4th is the date this year. I would assume the route should be clear for us on Saturday. Mpls bike tour is in Sept. so no issues there either.

Oct. 3 might work for me, as might the 27th. I'm either '86 tourer or '90 go fast. Is '90 C&V enough to not get run off the road?

At this point either day is open and the gal is just as likely to spring "plans" for either day on me.
Go with whatever you guys feel is best and I'll try to get there for it.

Fall C&V? Oh yeah, I'm in. Either date is good for me. Weather and Minnesota being what it is, we might want to think about both dates; use the 2nd as a rain date.

Pete, can you do the 3rd?
I'm a definite go on the 3rd.
FWIW Ride whatever you want to that day. Easy, fun miles for sure. I'll ride it even if it's rainy and chilly. I still have loads of miles for my goal and it would be nice to see and meet everyone.

That's great. Just put it on the family calendar.
If any out of towners want to show for the ride just let me know.
I have an extra bike or two that will work for the day.
Do we want an early start, say 8 am.
Or would everyone prefer an afternoon start time?

Probably 9am would be my preference. It's a little cool for starts earlier than that in October.
If people can only make an afternoon ride, I'm flexible.

I would love to do this. What a great chance to meet forum members and discover some of what Minneapolis has to offer. Unfortunately I have the time but no way to use it in Sept or Oct this year. I will keep my ear open for happenings next year.

The proposed 9 AM meet/start works great for me since I have about a 45 min drive to get there and have a late afternoon commitment. The leaf color should be near peak then.

Mentioned this to my wife, and--if she's in town and if the weather's good--she'd like to come along. But she's not on a vintage (well, she has a sister's early 90s Croll frame that we built up for her, but she much prefers the 2011 Troll that I finished for her a few weeks ago). OK if she joins?

Excellent. Thanks for the inclusion. Maybe I'll get my sister-in-law to come along as well. This will be good training for my wife, as the two of them are heading up the north shore for three or four days the following week. She's in good shape, but she doesn't have a lot of saddle time in and when we go out together, which is the only times she rides (apart from a couple spin classes every week at the Y), we typically go no more than 20 miles or so.

The All British Cycling Event is happening September 18, 19 & 20, 2015 in New Brighton Minnesota. I've attended several times and enjoyed it.
