You got to take what everyone says with a grain of salt. The same bike can cost $50 to $500. It all depends on location. Here I see Schwinns 50 to 200, more 150 to 200. As someone said, you have to wait for the right price. And don't be afraid of haggling. And don't settle for junk because it's cheap.

You learn. You go through some money. You wreck a few things. You gain experience. You learn.

Don't beat yourself up- you found something you thought would be cool. Hopefully you're figuring out what makes a good bike good- and THAT'S something great to learn.
