You got to take what everyone says with a grain of salt. The same bike can cost $50 to $500. It all depends on location. Here I see Schwinns 50 to 200, more 150 to 200. As someone said, you have to wait for the right price. And don't be afraid of haggling. And don't settle for junk because it's cheap.
