Frame painting sequence - which to paint first
I'm making progress on my frankenbike:

I have the frame stripped now and am getting ready to mask and paint. Planning two colors - lighter for the head tube (between the lugs) and darker color for the rest. Which color should I paint first - after the primer coats? I'm inclined to paint the head tube first then mask off and paint the rest.
But are there good reasons to do it one way vs the other. I'll not paint the light color over the dark. This is an enamel rattle can job on a cheap Gitane Sport (literally dragged it up and out of the dumpster at the transfer station). I will also line the head tube lugs to hide the 'joint' between the two colors.
Thanks for your experience.
