DIY Yogi Berra-isms
In honor of the passing of the most quotable athlete of this millennium, or the last...

When you come to a fork in the road, take it.
Nobody goes there anymore. It's too crowded.

Bicycling is 90% mental and the other half is physical.

My brakes aren't very good, but my bike is so heavy it doesn't need them.

I met Yogi when I was a little kid.
He was down at the Grand Union in White Plains plugging Yoo-Hoo and we went down to visit.
It was then that I learned that baseball players, while they look normal on TV, are actually perfectly proportioned 120% human replicants. So big he scared me to death! But I still have his autographed postcard with him slurping a Yoo-Hoo.

like yogi, ringo starr is credited with his own 'ringoisms,' like "it's been a hard day's night," "tomorrow never knows," and "eight days a week."

So my face is ugly. So what? I never saw anybody ride with his face.
The ride ain't over till it's over.

Fit is the most important thing when buying a bicycle, but only if it's your size.
I like down tube shifters, especially when they're mounted on the stem.
