Info on Enik bikes? Falk/Falck "Tubi Acciaio"?
Found a pretty unique looking bike on CL. I'm not too concerned about the price, so I didn't stick it in appraisals. More interested to know if anyone has an info on the builder? All I could find was it was a German company (guy?) that didn't catch on too well. The one I found has a fairly light frame, at least judging by my trusty arm scale. The fancy lugs and paint job had me wondering if it was quality, but it seems Falk/Falck was a more affordable tubeset? Bike has what looks like the nicer of the Shimano Exage groups.
Thanks in advance.

Ha, looks like it came from this bike shop originally. Might try to contact them!

Don't write off Falck tubing. Some of it is very good.
My early 60's Legnano Tipo Roma pista is made from Falck tubing.

Interesting that this English-language decal spells it FALK, but most everywhere else it's FALCK. Yes that's a "budget" tube and frequently Italian builders would save a few (thousand) Lire by using Falck for the stays, headtube and maybe fork blades and steerer but Columbus SL (or similar) for the 3 main tubes. It's quality steel, seamless and perhaps cold-drawn but not a fancy Chrome-moly alloy, weighs a little more, cost a little less. I suspect that Columbus tubing like Zeta and maybe Gara are that company's equivalent to Falck. Note there was also a "Super-legere" version of Falck tubing, too...not sure what the metallurgy was but presumedly it weighed less.

"Falck" was a second-tier Italian tubing manufacturer. "Tubi Acciaio" simply means "steel tubes" in Italian. Falck made a range of tubes; I suspect yours is not butted or a high-strength alloy or it would have been indicated on the tubing decal. That doesn't mean it won't make a nice bike, though. How does it ride?

It was hard to tell how it rides. I met the guy on my way home from work, so I didn't get a chance to bring my tools.
The tires were basically flat and the seat was about 6" taller than I needed it to be. Haha.
