Yes, I know there are people in Omaha otherwise they wouldn't have built a city there. I'm looking specifically for a C&V member.

This is a crazy shot to consider but a friend sent me a link to a Holdsworth tandem put up on ebay by what looks like a pawn shop named 13th St Jewelry & Loan. The price is ridiculously low so far. Local pickup only. A quick trip to look at it, and then help shipping it (probably through a LBS) would be appreciated. Of course the seller didn't give much info and apparently doesn't know bikes at all. It would be nice to know both ST lengths, especially the stoker's.

Im in Lincoln, so about an hour out. Work at a bike shop in Lincoln, so could help handle the shipping as well for a fee. PM me if you want.

Unfortunately there's no way, time wise, for me to get over and look at it. It appears to be damn cool tandem though.

I appreciate k08's offer to help but I think there are too many issues to pulling this off. For example, the short fuse on the auction and the reserve which may mean it won't sell at all (for a reasonable price). I dropped the seller a question about some frame dimensions and they sent me half a dozen useless measurements instead of what I specifically asked for. So I don't even know if it would fit us better than our Peugeot. Bummer, but I can't see jumping on it now.
