Grand Rapids ArtPrize

This is the seventh year this Michigan city has run this event. Regular artists are allowed to enter, thousands of entries are spread throughout downtown businesses, sidewalks, parks, bridges, and even in the river. Big money is awarded to winners...mostly voted by the public.

Anyway, these bikes are made entirely of wood.
They are art, therefore not operational, but still pretty impressive.

These are a totally different entry. A guy from Lansing, MI, traveled to the Pacific Northwest and worked with Native American children to create these culturally-themed bikes.
