Suntour SVX

Little help please.

I just purchased this hub set.
I don't know where Suntour SVX hubs fit in the Suntour line up.
(They were $50 on eBay, so I thought I'd take a shot)

I know Suntour SVX derailleurs

were mid-to-later 80's offerings and may have been behind Supurbe, Sprint, and Cyclone in Suntour's lineup.
I am talking to a person with a Nishiki Prestige Frame that I may buy and build - if so, considering this hub set.

Sorry for the long intro - here is the question - are these the bomb proof, smooth as butter hubs built by Sansin for Suntour?
If so, I am happy - thank you.

I think they're made by Sansin- I think the worst you have to look out for is that they're only "really good."

Even if the aren't what you thought they were, $50 for some in box hubs with skewers is a steal of a deal.

SVX was a lowend Suntour group, the hubs were made by Sansin.
I have a complete NOS SVX group, present from my LSB .
The hubs should last long.

Thanks. I hope they roll well. Lmk if you want to part with that group. I would build the Prestige with all SVX. If it's Suntour and not junk, it should be at least serviceable.

I'm guessing the skewers read Suntour and are the same ones used on their higher end hubs. If so, those alone would likely fetch $40 on eBay.
