Bulk Brake / Derailleur Cables

Good morning everyone...

I am looking to buy some bulk cables...I know some deals can be had on eBay...and found a good one, at least I think so. Got to wondering...do any of you have a "favorite" dealer to buy from on eBay? I found this one...and it looks pretty good...

50 x Pcs Lot Sale New Bicycle Bike Brake Wire 1 5mm Set of 50 Pcs | eBay

But not sure if any of you have a particular dealer!

I go through shifter cables and ends- I love swapping out components- and that chews up cables.

Any company, in particular, that you buy from? I am getting the same way!

Well, buy that and you've got a lifetime supply for all your vintage MTBs. Might as well take advantage of of the same seller's listing for road bike style brake cables:

Lot 50 Pcs New Bicycle Road Bike Brake Inner Wire 1 5mm for Campagnolo | eBay

Oh, and shifter cables: New 50 x Pcs Lot Bicycle Bike Shifter Wire 1 2mm Set of 50 Pcs 1905mm Long | eBay

Kind of tempting, since the price is right. If I was more actively wrenching I would probably go for all three.

I prefer stainless cables and have had good luck with XLC. I just buy bulk boxes from Niagaracycle, about $1.00-$1.25 a cable. Add a pair of tires and shipping becomes free.

If they're not stainless, I'm not interested, otherwise I'd have to put new cables (and probably housing) once a year.

The Niagra cycles are a better value.

@b dub and I bought one box of brake cables and one box of derailleur cables (both stainless) from Niagara a couple years ago, each of us getting 50 of each type. I no longer remember the brand. My stash is getting down there, perhaps 15 left of each. If you work on bikes a lot, that is definitely the way to go. I'm all for supporting my LBS (and do spend my commuter checks there), but not to the point of buying cables one at a time.
