GB Rando Bars - 25.2?

I picked up these rando bars at the Whittier Bike Swap Meet a few weeks ago (for $8). They measure 25.2 (on my cheapo calipers, as well as my neighbor's fancy digital unit).

Any suggestions on what size stem I should use mount these?

I'm guessing a 25.4 and jam in a aluminium shim.

I tried 2 shims (made from aluminium flashing - couldn't jam in a third) on a 26 cinelli - but I was afraid to crank it down - seemed too far to shim.

Or maybe would it fit it on a French 22? (I could try it on my PX10)

Thanks

Joe

You should be able to use the 25.4 stem and clamp it down. Make sure the insertion part is correct for the steerer tube, prob'ly 22.2.

What is this GB British bar going on ?

I'll probably try it on my 1982 Trek 700 - or maybe the PX, that I'm outfitting with fenders for El Nino riding

Mine fits a little loose in the stem before it's clamped down, too. Don't worry -- it just makes installation a breeze.

Those are my all time favorite bars and came stock on Schwinn Continentals, Super Sports and Sport Tourers in the 1970s. I've used them with 25.4 Nitto stems with no issues. Enjoy!
