I have what I consider to be a dream collection of bikes I lusted over as a kid but could not then afford. But one such marque was missing - Cinelli. Specifically, pre-Colombo Cinelli, meaning before 1978 or so.
Well, I finally got one. An early 70's Speciale Corsa. It's a bit smaller than I would have preferred (60cm ctc as opposed to the 62 to 65 ctc I usually ride), but close enough. It came with some fairly usual stuff hanging on it - Cinelli bar and stem, Campy NR derailleurs front and rear, Universal 68 brakes, Campy hubs and pedals - but it als came with some very cool stuff one does not always see. Like a Cinelli saddle - I think it is a No 3 but I'm not 100% positive. Like a Nitor seat post, a Cinelli design. Like a Magistroni steel cottered crank with Magistroni chainwheels (53 and 47 teeth). So here are some photos of how it came to me.
