I would have replaced the little box if I had something handy. All I had was tape, however.

The tape was a nice touch, @smontanaro, but the plastic's days were numbered. Besides, steel is real (it's now in a tin box).

That FD is DA (missing the clamp bolt, but easily replaced) and is in very decent shape - I can tell it was well loved. I don't even want to speculate on the glass-lensed rear lamp, but that was what made me feel just a bit guilty. That would have been a complete haul in and of itself. Trek 710, here's my Xmas gift to you!

If someone has a small tin box, that would be an improvement!

edit: I just read @mountaindave's post where he already did it!

What, something happened? I've got all of the no-fly-zone, can't play the game right, control issues, etc. forum members on my ignore list.

Nothing to see here, move along.

What, did somebody fart?

Am I really next? Because I'm still in Phoenix and SkyDog76 follows Dave on P1/P1 when I checked. I expect to return to WA by the 20th, so I may need to be bumped back one turn. I stopped my mail so the BOC would languish in my PO for a few days if delivery went smoothly.

G-man - can you hook a brother up?

Sorta, the smell is the same.

Since I follow you, I am available to switch with if needed. I am most definitely not living the life of leisure is sunny Phoenix at the moment (did that sound jealous, because it should).

Here's what I have right now:

@mountaindave, I'm assuming you've contacted @SkyDog75 for shipment, if y'all could ping an update I'd appreciated it. Assuming mountaindave shipped and SkyDog75 hasn't received yet, it's still probably a bit too close for comfort. I'll bump Double D down below Lascauxcaveman for a safety buffer.

Thanks for the good communication, @Drillium Dude

Thanks, Mark - that should work perfectly, always assuming I get back safely with no delays. I'll keep you posted!

You're kinda in.

Ah heck, fully in! Welcome to the fun, although it may be several months before your name pops up. Feel free to come back and heckle, er, comment on the "Crap Within" from time to time.

The box has arrived!

It was just as craptastic as promised, but thanks to someone who doesn't know what real crap is, it looks like one of my daughters is gonna get a 3-speed IGH! Now I just gotta build up a wheel. And build a bike around that wheel.

(Thank you to the donor of this particular piece of "crap". The recipient has some issues with coordination that can make derailleur shifting confusing and frustrating for her. Assuming it works, this is gonna help her keep up with her sister & dad.)

Oh, and the cats are happy with their haul, too.

The box should be departing for its next destination by Saturday at the latest.

Wow, nice.

I love seeing those tools in there. Hope some are in there when the box comes to me, that 'crap' is looking very good. Sort of developing a new hobby of collecting tools, but mostly old tools I can't identify. Love the pictures too, seeing the pictures as the box passes around is exciting and builds anticipation. I will probably need to find some nicer 'crap'

I missed closing at the post office, but managed to spot a mailman on his rounds and pawned the box off on him. Heads up @Kobe, the box is on its way!

Now that's the kind of crappy commitment we're looking for!

Last 3 box moving churn average is below 6 days, let's keep it up!
