@jimmuller - I guess I'm not as much of a geek as I thought I was. I asked a more advanced geek & they knew immediately what you were referring to. Given your propensity for physics, I'm not surprised.

On the photo you posted is that little bolt from a Suntour bar-con? The one that frequently goes missing?

Before the bicycle there was the velocipede, before Star Wars there was Star Trek. You are too young to have experienced either. In my youth I experienced both. Well, not quite both if you want to be literal.

Noop. That is from a 2-bolt Simplex seat post.

Thanks @non-fixie.

It's stamped 65 so I'm assuming 1965. I have the bars to go with it and I think I'll put it on my '67 Condor.

Brad

Not my pic but this will be the look:

Exactly. On earlier versions, the text orientation was towards the rider. Later, it was turned around, so it would show legibly on television.

Boy do I wish I woulda bought a whole box of them when they were 24 bucks a piece.
But then, one can say that about a lot of stuff. Gone forever.
And back then, I could afford a pair or two.

I still have a pair of these P-R's. But they're no longer ridable, alas.

My favorite so far for many reasons - the color, composition, and no corporate logos. I was going to enter today, but VV raised the bar with this one.
