Bike Gnomes strike again...
A year and a half ago a '78 Nishiki International showed up inside my front gate. None of my friends or neighbors has ever copped to leaving it there.
This morning, a box of parts.
I quickly looked at it before coming in to the office. A Cinelli stem, on-topic bars, unknown chain rings, off topic bar and stem, Shimano brifters, some other misc stuff in the bottom of the box and a carbon fork. Hmmm.

Still learning
Geez, in my neighborhood all I receive are religious literature and bird droppings.
Brifters, sweet!

Better than a box of used boxers....Somebody left this Moto in the yard a few years ago knowing I like old steel projects. It was way rough, so much that I left it in the front yard propped against a bush for 3 days thinking somebody else would take it. Finally it started raining on it and felt bad, so in it came. Interesting project that people ended up fighting over at the swap, priced too cheap I guess.

The question, other than the obvious "who is the gnome", is...is there something worth starting a project around in the box?

Wow...
The only thing that happened to me like that was a not very expensive, but nice Trek MTB disappeared from my back yard, and a BSO junker appeared on my front lawn the same day.

Boxes with bikes and/or parts show up here pretty often, but never free, so far. Actually, another box should be here by Friday. Yippee!

I'm gonna give you props on that one. I just reread To Kill a Mockingbird a few months ago so this got a chuckle from me.

We get excited at our bike coop when the shops in town clean out their "old parts" bins. The funny thing is they always put it in a pile out back of our shop, so we generally don't find it for a few days.
