I've got what I think is called a Titanium Ovalmaster and it looks like the same frame, and it seems like I determined it was a 99 when I got it, and that was about the last year Colnagos were all metal with no cf (the steel frames after 2000 were no longer considered competition bikes so I'm not counting those.) It's got a bit of the decor finish and came with the lesser Colnago fork (Flash?), which I couldn't keep due to the previous owner "measuring once" and "miscutting once." ha ha. Anyway, doubt our frames are different at all, and while not super light, it rides fantastic! It seems like I found a post somewhere that said Ernesto had a very skilled titanium builder in Russia build these. Some of the Colnago titaniums were known to crack but I think that was earlier years, like Bi-Titan years. Enjoy!

Looks very similar to several Oval Master Titanio frame up on eBay right now. Titanium frame and carbon fork.

What makes you think it might not be legit?

Colnago did paint a lot of their Titanium frames.

OvalTitan would distinguish it from the BiTitan which was a unique frame, but apparently had some issues with flex.

Hmmm,

You may well have a slight problem.

Looking on the net, there seems to be both an OvalTitan & Oval Master Titan.

Simply OvalTitan appears to have an oval shaped top tube.

Your bike has the square toptube, so it may be some type of MasterTitan.

The other question is at what point did Colnago start painting a coat of arms on the top tube. My BiTitan (from around 2000) does not have a coat of arms. But, around that period, most of the Colnagos got the coat of arms.

So, it is possible your frame has been repainted. But, there was still some variability in the Colnago paint schemes.

Unfortunately, the tubing is relatively plain, with not embossed logos.

Can you verify the frame material is actually Titanium, and not steel or aluminum?

The square titanium top tube may be a fairly unique Colnago feature.
