Nishiki Alan

I purchased a Nishiki Alan carbon kevlar bike at a yard sale for $10.00 It is in excellent condition other than needing new tires. Can anyone tell me anything about this bike?

assume you're referring to this model...

https://belle-macchine.com/2014/03/07/nishiki-carbon/

I have a Specialized Allez Epic w/ DA 8 STI which has similar construction (carbon tubes, alum lugs and fork).

there were reports of frame failures due to bonding issues in some of the earliest Spec models. mine is a 2nd gen and has provided 25+ years of almost maintenance-free riding. put 80 miles on it this week.

if your bike has Superbe Pro components, they are outstanding.

post a photo once you're able to...

the Superbe Pro stuff is killer, but the 600 group will work fine.

throw some new rubber on and ride the wheels off of it...

you got a major steal for ten bucks.
