That would take some time getting used to. The feeling of your frame falling apart at speed does not seem like it would be fun at first.

Never in a million years. You can even see the guys -- who I suspect have spent some time on these contraptions -- really struggling at points (while making sure to keep their oh-so-cool-and-fun "game face" on).

Now that I've viewed the video, I'm thinking: Vertically compliant yet horizontally OMG, WTF! GET ME OFF OF THIS THING!!!

I saw the video on FB a couple days back and was puzzled about the point behind doing this. Then I got to thinking about chain line problems - also, notice how loose the chain is as the wheel swings back and forth. Not to be a "negative Nancy," but I really don't get it. I sure hope it's as fun to ride as the grinning guys in the video make it seem to be.

... and to think we used to complain about how whippy and noodle-like certain touring frames with long spaghetti stays were.

When I was a kid, a friend had one- he was really good at it... I got sorta good with it- but didn't lock it before going down a hill, then that rear end started wobbling... I ended up with a face full of concrete and never wanted to ride that thing again.
